PA session prorogued due to coronavirus fearThe session of Punjab Assembly was prorogued for indefinite time period due to the fear of Coronavirus that has been declared a pandemic by the WHO. The session of Punjab Assembly was earlier supposed to continue for another week but it was prorogued on demand of the lawmakers due to the Corona fear. Speaking on a point of order on Friday, PPP parliamentary leader Syed Hassan Murtaza said that his servant went to the Services Hospital Lahore for the test of Coronavirus but was told that there is no such facility in the said hospital.

He was of the view that the test of Corona is available at the price of 10,000 at private laboratories but the service isn’t available at public hospitals. He further added that the Punjab government isn’t well-prepared to deal with the epidemic.

Punjab Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja said that provincial government is taking all out measures to control Coronavirus. He said that special units and isolation units have been formed in every district.

He said that the medical emergency has been declared against this epidemic. Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chochan said that provincial government took up the issue of Coronavirus in first week of January.

He said that with the help of Health Department, Information Department we update to people about suspects of Coronavirus in Punjab after every six hours.

Earlier, Punjab Minister for Colonies Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan said that four hundred and ninety-five acres has been recovered from land grabbers worth of 210.419 million rupees which is in under custody of revenue department. He said this while replying to a question during the Questions Hour in the Punjab Assembly on Friday. While answering the questions, Parliamentary Secretary for Revenue Chaudhry Muhammad Adnan said that establishment of Land Records Management & Information Systems (LRMIS) or Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) is in 2006 with objective to maintain its record on modern lines. He said that record of rural village has been completed while computerized record of Urban areas is in process.

He added that offices of LRMIS or PLRA are in every tehsil and nine additional Arazi Land Record Centers (Arcs) are established whose details are tabled in House. He clarified that that no suggestion is under consideration for division of district Rahim Yar Khan.
