DUBAI: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against New Zealand in the second Test of the three-match series at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
The Pakistan team will be looking to level the series 1-1 after dreadful performance in first test match in Abu Dhabi. The Kiwi’s won match by just 4 runs after setting a target of 176-runs.
On the
other hand, New Zealand will be looking for another victory to seal the series.
Pakistan Captain Sarfraz Ahmed said that Pakistan have left that defea
t behind but recognise the shortcomings of their
batting while addressing a press conference on the eve of the second Test. He added that their team badly need a win in the second Test as it is an important for t
hem.
Moreover,
batting is still a concern for Pakistan side as their
batting collapsed from 130-3 to 171 all out against New Zealand in the first test match.
The match between Pakistan and New Zealand will start at 11am PST (Pakistan Standard Time).
The third and final Test will be played in Abu Dhabi from December 3.
