The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Salman Shehbaz, son of Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif on October 10 in a case pertaining to accumulation of assets more than known sources of income.
Earlier, the anti-corruption watchdog had arrested ex-Punjab chief minister Shehbaz Sharif in the Ashiana housing scheme case. According to sources, Shehbaz was arrested after Fawad Hasan Fawad, the then implementation secretary, told the anti
-graft body that he carried out cor
rupt activities in projects in Punjab on orders of Shehbaz, who was the chief minister then. NAB had also received information from Fawad Hasan
’;s laptop, from which data was retrieved after his arrest. It may be mentioned that the anti
-graft body has also summoned Khawaja Saad Rafiqu
e, his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique in connection with an ongoing inquiry into Paragon Housing scam.
